Purchases

To shop and make a purchase, you need to have a modern browser and cookies and JavaScript enabled.

 By clicking on the “Pay Now” button, you can purchase the goods in the shopping cart. When you purchase your eReader(s) and/or accessory, you will be charged the total amount of your order (plus any applicable taxes and shipping and handling charges) to the credit card provided. By concluding the transaction, you accept and agree to electronic invoicing.

 Kobo accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard and Paypal. Kobo reserves the right to reject any and all tax exemption certificates.

 

 Order Status

Kobo will confirm your purchase by emailing you an order confirmation that outlines the details of your order, your order identification number and confirmation that the payment has been made to Kobo and that your credit card has been charged accordingly. Once your order leaves Kobo’s warehouse, Kobo will send you a second email with details on how to track the delivery of your order.  Delivery

The cost of standard delivery will be applied to all orders. Kobo does not ship to PO Boxes and will require a street address for delivery.

 Your order will usually be delivered to you within 7 to 10 business days of the date of purchase with an exception on pre-orders. All deliveries will be made by standard ground transportation.

 After two unsuccessful delivery attempts caused by circumstances attributable to you, Kobo shall be entitled to rescind the order. Then the order will be returned to Kobo and you will be charged for all delivery charges incurred.

  

Cancellations

You have 14 calendar days to cancel your order without giving any reason. The cancellation period shall expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquired, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by an unequivocal statement such as a letter sent by post, fax or email and to return the delivered goods to us (please see Returns section for details). You may use the model withdrawal form template (which is in the same form as the statutory form template referred to in Article 30.1 of the Consumer Rights Act), which can be found in Appendix (https://uk.kobobooks.com/pages/appendix) to these Terms of Sales, but it is not obligatory. To meet the cancellation deadline, you must send your communication concerning the cancellation before the cancellation period has expired.

 When you cancel your order within the cancellation period, Kobo shall refund the purchase price and the shipping and handling charges without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we have confirmed that the goods have returned to us. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction.

 Returns

When you make a cancellation, you are requested to notify the Customer Care center (http://www.kobo.com/help) of your intention to return the goods before sending the goods back to us. Once you have notified the Customer Care center of your wish to cancel your order, you must return the goods in its original condition within 14 calendar days of your cancellation notification and must provide a tracking number to us. This enables us to track the goods quickly and efficiently.

 Returning the delivered goods within the cancellation period:

You will need to pay for the return shipment. The return shipping cost will vary depending on the country in which you are located. Such cost is estimated at a maximum of approximately 12 GBP.

 Returning the defective eReader(s) after delivery:

You are entitled to return the eReader(s) delivered to you when it is defective or otherwise not in conformity with your order when you received it within the warranty period. In the event your claim is justified, we will pay for the ship-to and return-shipping costs.

  Data Protection

All information provided by you shall be processed in accordance with Directive 95/46/EC on the protection of individuals in respect to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data. We try to ensure the information on this site is accurate. However, we do not accept liability for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies and shall not be bound by information contained on the website including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law.

  

Warranty & Help

If you encounter problems with your eReader(s), please contact Kobo’s Customer Care center to resolve the issue (http://www.kobo.com/help). If, within the warranty period, the issue cannot be resolved, you may exchange your defective eReader in accordance with Kobo’s warranty.
